Solutions:

At ANH-USA our main goal is to gain complete informed consent so that parents can do their own research and come to their own conclusions about which vaccines, if any, they want their children to receive.

As a precursor to informed consent, several states offer a philosophical or religious exemption from compulsory vaccination. However, you have only two choices: to receive the vaccine schedule recommended by the CDC or get no vaccines at all. This is a problem for parents who believe in the necessary vaccines but don’t wish to overload their children with unnecessary ones, including shots for strep throat and the flu. We support a parent’s right to elect their own battery of vaccines for their children.

We believe:

  1. That because younger children are more susceptible to vaccine injury, parents should have the right to delay vaccines or spread them out over time in order to prevent vaccine-overload on young children with weaker immune systems and developing brains.
  2. If a child has a weakened immune system or a family history of immune-system disorders, vaccine reaction or allergies, they should not be subject to forced inoculations.
  3. Single vaccines should be readily available to the public. These vaccines are safer because they do not contain harmful preservatives, such as thimerosal, and because they do not overload the body with too many vaccines all at once. Currently they are not readily available because they’re more expensive for the government and because the government believes that parents aren’t responsible enough to come in multiple times for more rounds of shots. We believe that children’s safety comes before cost.
  4. Passed in 2002, the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act — designed to increase the states’ power to respond to bioterrorism and other outbreaks of disease — includes a provision that allows state health officials to have the state militia arrest, imprison and forcibly examine, vaccinate and medicate citizens without consent and not be held liable should these actions result in death or injury. As of 2006, 38 states have passed a total of 66 bills or resolutions that include provisions derived from or closely related to that act. We could see an example of this terrible abuse of power if the swine-flu vaccine, which has been fast-tracked and will go through minimal safety checks, becomes mandatory. In 1976, when a similar swine-flu outbreak occurred and 46 million people were vaccinated. 4,000 people claimed damages stemming from that vaccine and around 500 came down with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a paralyzing and even deadly neuromuscular disorder. This time the government was smarter and passed into law an “immunity” for vaccine companies. What, then, is the motivation for Big Pharma, the CDC, the FDA, etc., to spend the money, manpower and time to assure that this vaccine is safer than the last?
