Trump administration and Congress get blamed for everything because people do not realize that the FDA works for Big Pharma, not the American people.

    • Dr. Hofferrrr

      Bingo!!!

    • etim

What? You don’t think Congress and Trump work for big pharma’s $$$ too? They’re the ones responsible for forcing the FDA to suck up to pharmaco in the first place!

      • Excuse me

etim: You are incorrect. The FDA has been on a tear for decades. Clinton was in office when the FDA, with local sheriffs and ATF agents, raided Jonathan Wright’s Office near Seattle. They found out-dated vitamins–in the dumpster. Your pathologic hatred of Trump is showing, and it makes you look like a know-nothing.

        • Vic M

So anybody who disagrees with you is guilty of pathologic hatred. What about attacking the topic not the person. Saying someone’s hatred is pathological is an irrelevant argument.

          • Excuse me

No, not everyone. But you, and what seems like most butt-hurt Hillary or poor Bernie supporters, so damaged by a reversal of political fortune, do seem pathological.

          • Vic M

Which only goes to further prove my point. You don’t know the difference between a valid argument and irrelevant attacks on someone else that don’t serve to prove you are right. . You wouldn’t use as an argument to support Trump that this guy on some blog is a butt hurt Clinton supporter, would you? Therefore that’s an irrelevant argument. You’re just uneducated and rude. It’s all about rivalry to people like you. You haven’t grown up enough to respect other people’s point of view and to argue with logic. You’re insecure. I don’t like Hillary or Bernie. I’m conservative. You don’t even know me and you’re jumping to all these conclusions.

          • Excuse me

BS. That is a BS in biochemistry. Phd level research. And I doubt you are “conservative”. If you were you would would not have the hate avatar you use. And apparently you “jump to conclusions” as well. This country is going in the crapper with investigations of investigations, the FDA still works to deny citizens healthy alternatives to dangerous interventions, the 9th Circuit oversteps its bounds by opining on the mindset behind an Executive Order, and you are concerned about argument style? Get a grip. Take crazy elsewhere.

          • Vic M

OMG, I can’t believe you’d keep up the conversation. You are so insecure. This has nothing to do with voicing an opinion on the mindset of an executive order, an excellent one at that, or toting guns, it’s your attacking people personally for their opinions. It’s irrelevant and just plain rude.

          • Mary Baker

            Trump is swamp scum…

          • GMiddlebrook

You can’t justify the stupidity of Trump so don’t even try.
And what you say about liberals goes double for conservatives. Why do you think Trump is obsessed with this Russian investigation and won’t release his taxes, doh because he is hiding something. That doesn’t have anything to do with being liberal or conservative it is just the plain truth.

          • tamarque

I have to agree with you. A clear sign of the lack of thought behind the attacks is the use of ad hominems or worse. On the issue of health care vs the medical industry we have people on all sides of the political spectrum who are up in arms at the FDA and Big Pharma. Of course Monsanto and the other bio industry corps are also part of the FDA fiasco. What I have seen over and over again most Americans are on the same side of the fence on real issues: jobs, housing, health, etc. People need to learn to stay focused.
Of course what is not mentioned is the possibility that this pro-Trump antagonist may be a plant and so arguing with them us useless. Let them go back for reassignment. They are exposed.

          • Mary Baker

            People can remain ignorant…

          • Mary Baker

            Irrelevant diatribe…

    • g davis

Yeah, clearly the FDA is acting outside their legal scope, and implementing regulations and policies that they completely self created in this matter.
Nothing to do w Trump, not much to do w Congress, just a corrupt system.

      • Mary Baker

Trump runs a corrupt government and his cronies are all making a fast buck off the American people. Follow the money and you have your answer…

        • Lifeonerth

Trump practically just took office. The FDA has been actively working to block our access to safe and effective alternatives to Big Pharma for decades. Blaming Trump is absurd and ignores the real problem, which is corrupt unelected officials in a bloated government agency that routinely oversteps its bounds and acts contrary to the interests of the people. Most of DC sucks at the teat of Big Pharma now, on both sides.

    • Jane domes

Who has the power to change that huh? I’m pretty sure congress also works for Big Pharma.

      • Excuse me

Another reason for term limits and elimination of lobbyists.

    • Mary Baker

FDA is a government entity and works under the president!

    • Cindy93

And I don’t know how we get that to change. It has been going on for 40 years.

  • Horlet

The FDA is the Gestapo and only work for the drug companies. They have assaulted natural and functional medicine for years. They are hardly protecting American Health. They are protecting the market for pharmaceutical drugs. It is a disgrace and they should all be ashamed for putting law abiding citizens out of business because they are treating people and getting results.

  • Maryann Massar

When big pharma pays at least half of the FDA’s budget, what do you expect! The FDA also expedites the approval of new drugs also, even when they aren’t needed and/or haven’t been sufficiently proved safe. The safety of drugs studies are done by the same pharma corps. that formulate them. If that’s not a conflict of interest, what is?

  • FDA…do what is right, not what is greedy.

  • REVTERRYBERN

I AM 80 YEARS OLD. I TOOK A PHYSICAL RECENTLY AND THE DR. ESTIMATED I WAS 30 TO 40 YEARS OLD DUE TO 55 YEARS OF ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE AND SUPPLEMENTATION. I WATCHED THE FDA FOR 50 YEARS SCREW THE WHOLE USA. THEIR FUNDS COME FROM BIG DRUG.

    • Justor

You remind me of my Dad, we had been laughing and crying about the FDA for years.. If you think that it is FDA is there to protect you.. and everything that they approve is good you are playing Russian Roulette with your health. I remember that he was having me take vitamins as a little kids, I remember asking him about Flintstones vitamins.. and he laughed.. that is candy… complete joke.

    • auto13142828

You must be 80 years old – your CAPS key is stuck on uppercase.

      • Vic M

        What a jerk

        • auto13142828

Call me names and ignore the topic. I didn’t attack your hate avatar.

          • Vic M

I never called you names and it was you who got personal with someone else that prompted me to tell you to stick to the topic. Now you want to turn it around.

      • Lifeonerth

No need to harass our elders. He is doing well to be on the internet commenting! Bravo, Sir. It is helpful and considerate to not use all caps though.

      • GMiddlebrook

That was snarky. I hope someone says that about you when you are old.

        • auto13142828

I am old. I hope you get a sense of humor before you get old.

          • GMiddlebrook

No worries. My sense of humor is great and I am 62.

    • tamarque

Yea for you. I, too, have avoided Big Pharma and the medical industry. The things that bother me physically are dealt with via holistic healing and protocols. We should all live healthy lives till well over age 120.

  • Christine Drangsholt Stenvik

To the FDA: Please follow the law!
To the Congress and government: Please prosecute the FDA if they do not follow the law!

    • Vic M

They should do in a thorough investigation of FDA employee’s finances to see if they’re on the take.

  • jerlands .

Our crisis in government is entirely due to corporate influence in policy.

  • Excuse me

The FDA is a collection of crooked operatives out to benefit Big Pharma.

  • Vic M

I am a cancer survivor thanks to alternative medicine. 17 tumors in my liver gone in a year. No chemo, no radiation, no surgery. Just a low acid, low sugar, high oxalic acid (carrots, beet, rhubarb, turmeric etc) diet.

  • Gary Pilon

Let put it this way. If big pharma can’t patent it they can’t make money so any drug that is natural is a devil in their eyes. Greed is the 1st thing that you see. Have you noticed the drug commercials are on constantly hoping that when you go to the doctor you will tell him what medicines you need.
But the cure is always worse than the disease. And if you take one drug there is another drug to cure what the 1st one caused and it goes on from there. I thought there was a study done recently that basically 60% of the big pharma drugs do not work as advertised. If the FDA is guilty of passing thru harmful drugs they should prosecuted as criminals for endangering the public as any doctor would be for erroneous dispention of medication.

  • Lifeonerth

I have mitochondrial disease, which is progressive and profoundly disabling. My life and well-being (such as it is) depend upon compounded functional medicine treatments, including some covered here. There is no other treatment for mito; many drugs from Big Pharma are toxic to mitochondria and can cause permanent damage to our cells.

Making this about Trump is illogical and counterproductive. FDA officials are not appointed by the president and the agency has been doing this sort of thing for decades. They outlawed the use of IV vitamin C because it is “not a drug” under the previous administration, for example…vitamin C! This goes way beyond partisan politics, folks. Your rights are being violated. Please sign and share the above petition!

  • Pamela Burroughs Erlandson

The Functional Medicine Practitioners are making the way for better health. They have fought their battles with the state courts also. Best to start at the beginning to fix our health issues and that is what they do………
